MMA

    Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a combat sport in which two competitors attempt to achieve dominance over one another utilizing a variety of permitted martial arts techniques including striking and grappling. 

 

    MMA has also been referred to as No Holds Barred (NHB), but this term is no longer considered an accurate description of the modern sport, due to its formalized rules and banned techniques that have been developed for the fighters’ safety.

 

    Mixed Martial Arts is one of the fastest growing trends in adult fitness and self defense

Programs.  This class offers a high energy workout designed to get you in shape while learning realistic self defense and kick boxing techniques.  Students of this class learn punches, kicks, knee, elbow, and joint locks and throws.  No other martial arts program in the area offers the realistic level of training available from Sanjuriu Mixed Martial Arts.

 

    Students in this class work out with each other on focus mitts for boxing and kickboxing and at advanced levels; students are able to test their ability by sparring with each other in our school.  This is a great class for the beginner as well as advanced students.  We have new people joining all the time.  Students in this class start at white belt and with hard work and dedication can earn a black belt in 3 to 4 years.  A good saying is

 “A Master is only a servant that never gave up!”

 

ISA MMA is a for those wanting to train in the ring as well as those wanting an efficient Cardio Kickboxing Class.
